Inspired by the works of renowned Danish pioneers of Abstract Art, the collage-style series is a gracious nod to the long-standing cultural bond between Denmark and France. From 1947 to 1956, a small community of painters and sculptors lived and worked in the Maison des Artistes Danois in Suresnes and were represented by the same art gallery in Paris. One of these famous residents eventually founded the CoBrA Movement in a Parisian café on Quai Saint Michel, in 1948. The Danske Kunsternhus i Suresnes no longer exists, but it certainly fostered the creative process of many prominent artists.
