This winter, Épice embraces its Danish heritage and celebrates the free spirit of Freetown Christiania, Copenhagen’s iconic bohemian neighborhood. Our Graffiti patterns capture the vibrant energy and poetic expression of the murals that adorn the walls and wooden fences of this singular, alternative community.
Our chic and whimsical Origami bestiary is inspired by the textile patterns of Danish architect and designer Arne Jacobsen. These stylized animal figures echo the graphic motifs created during the 1950s and 1960s by this master of Danish design.
The Confetti series captures a key moment in Épice’s creative process. The hand-painted sheets, traditionally used to develop our color palettes are reimagined as abstract, artistic compositions for the winter collection.
Flat geometric shapes, circles and squares, form the foundation of the Graphic series. Cut, layered and enlarged, these simple shapes interact through bold color contrasts to create subtle optical effects.
Last but not least, the iconic designs Flowers, Checks, and Solids are reimagined with fresh patterns and bold, vibrant color combinations. For the winter season, the spotlight is on luxurious natural fibers.
Cozy cocoons of warmth are crafted in fine merino wool or delicate blends of wool-silk-cashmere or wool-cashmere. Soft and featherlight, these fabrics feel light and gentle against the skin. Subtle diamond weaves add depth and texture, while preserving a fluid, elegant drape.
