The Color Palette
"The color palette is closely linked to our native Denmark," confides Bess Nielsen, co-founder of Epice Paris with designer Jan Machenhauer. "Here, colors vibrate in a singular way, very certainly due to a low sky and a long, dark winter," she continues. These nuances with subtle brilliance draw their inspiration from both Michael Peter Ancher's works and the streets of Copenhagen—where the use of color seems to be both a necessary balance and source of energy.

When Nordic Exigency Meets Indian Poetry
ÉPICE Paris House is, essentially, the infinite art of color—all in tones as vibrant as they are delicate. These singular nuances are born in the creative studio in Copenhagen in collaboration with Nina Hart. A true master colorist, each season she creates and paints a new watercolor palette for ÉPICE. Once defined, these shades are then brought to life by our artisans in India, thanks to expertise that is as expert as it is intuitive; the pastes are first brown, then take on their colors after treatment. This palette then comes alive to the rhythm of its Indian weavers in a happy coincidence that makes each stole wonderfully unique.

A Universe of Contrasts
This universe of contrasts offers as many points of reference to evoke the colors of a fantastic garden with a thousand and one flower bouquets, the indulgent tones of seasonal fruits and citrus, or recurring geometric lines that are never quite the same when they forcefully display all their brilliance. These tones also passionately tell of the natural blue of the sky and the deep blue of the sea, the elusive color of the wind from the north, the green of tall grass trodden underfoot on beautiful days, or the penetrating yellow of the sun... Each creation seems to tell a luminous scene with careful attention to detail, in the manner of master paintings. Finally, Epice Paris evokes an extraordinary journey, rich with lively and precious fabrics that one never tires of displaying. The magic can then work, provided it is skillfully colored.
